Lovejoy Wrestling places 7 at Regional Championship, 4 automatic state qualifiers!

    Lovejoy’s men and women’s wrestling teams battled it out in Bryan with the rest of a very tough Regional competition this past Friday and Saturday. Wrestling falls short versus Rockwall Heath in close dual, 39-31.

The Lovejoy men’s varsity team came up just a match short in its last district dual of the year, losing to Rockwall Heath by a score of 39-31. With the win the Leopards could have overtaken Heath for the District Dual Championship, but fall short and will finish the season in 3rd place pending results

Women’s Wrestling competes well at Under Armour Ranger Roundup!

The women’s wrestling team competed today at Chisholm Trail HS in Fort Worth at the Under Armour Ranger Roundup. Representing the Leopards were freshman Lilly Musselman and Morgan Elvin and sophomore Jordan Duncan. Morgan Elvin finished the day earning a belt buckle for third place, pinning her opponent from Chisholm Trail in the second period.
