The Lady Leopards finished out the Northwest ISD tournament with a record of 4-2. Despite the loss, the Leopards gained great experience on the field and took the loss to a solid Lake Travis team.
Harleigh Bettis, Rebecca Holiman, and Sydney Provence created the trio of pitchers in this contest. Bettis came out in the first inning and caused the 1-2-3 hitters to go down in order. Holiman did a great job throwing strikes, and Provence finished up the contest. The defense played well behind each of the pitchers.
The scoring drive came in the bottom of the 5th with a single from Rebecca Holiman, followed by a rocket off the bat of Madeline Robinson that went off the pitcher and ended up in right field. Runners both advanced to 2nd and 3rd and Mackenzie Mitchell hit a single that scored Holiman from 3rd base.
The Lady Leopards enter district play on Tuesday at home against Highland Park.
