Game Recap

IMG_5811-L

The Leopards varsity football team lost this past Friday to the Wylie Pirates 34-31 after coming back from 10 points down with under two minutes left to tie the game at 31. The Leopards struggled offensively in the first half after having to adjust due to star receiver Aaron Fuller leaving the game after the second series due to a high ankle sprain. In the second half the offense came alive as Dakota Michaels filled in more than adequately by catching 9 passes for 225 yards and two touchdowns. One of those scores was from 47 yards out on a beautifully thrown ball from QB Bowman Sells with under a minute to play. Austin Henning converted the critical extra point to tie the game after kicking a 41 yard field goal to bring the game within 7 points. Nick Davis pitched in scoring on a 7 yard run to get the scoring going in the second half. Kevin Davis and Bumper Pool led the Leopards on defense forcing two turnovers to keep the game close. The Leopards will end their regular season this coming Friday as they travel to McKinney to play the Lions.

Game Recap

The Freshman Red Team had their last home game and it was a great 27-6 win. Defensively the Leopards held Wylie all night long for the exception of a couple of plays. The defensive stonewalling was led by Brock Hancock and Chris Repack. There were many big hits and tackles for loss throughout the game which helped the Red secure the victory. Offensively Cameron Pool continued his stellar play with two touchdown passes for 23 and 28 yards plus a 24 yd touchdown run. On the receiving end of those were Colton Lawrence 23 yard and Jack Nelson 28 yard receptions. Brock Hancock added on a 9 yard touchdown run that sealed the win for the Leopards. There were big contributions by many of the Leopards on Wednesday night that made this game a complete team win. Join the Leopards next week while they play at McKinney versus the Lions in what will be the final game of what has been a very successful season.

Game Recap

The JV Leopards fought hard, but could not do enough to pull out the victory. The defense was stingy all night, only allowing one long drive. Blake Brown and Emilio Gonzalez led the defense all night. Offensively, Nick Garcia led the Leopards on the ground. The JV will play their last game at home against McKinney High School at 6:00 PM in Leopard Stadium.
