Game Recap

Friday night, the Leopards hosted the 6A Coppell Cowgirls for a playoff warm up match. In the first set, the Cowgirls came out slow while the Leopards took control of the set, winning 25-13. The Cowgirls reset and turned it on for the second set, surprising the Leopards. From there, errors consumed the home side losing the second and third set 25-21, 25-12. In the fourth set, Lovejoy had a new focus to push the match into overtime and fought the Cowgirls match point after match point. In the end, Coppell made less errors and took home the win.

Lovejoy will meet Longview Pine Tree again in the first round of playoffs. Last year, Lovejoy beat Pine Tree in 3 sets, 25-17, 25-14, 25-13. The two will play at the neutral site of Mineola High School at 5:30 pm on Monday night.
