Setbacks happen. Tonight the boys fell to a scrappy North squad that was able to take advantage of some friendly bounces in the first half to build a 3-0 lead before the intermission. The boys fought hard in the second half, pushing numbers forward but a couple of opportunities went by the wayside, and the score finished 3-0. A bright spot in the second half was Jackson Diamond’s double save on a penalty kick that kept the boys within earshot, but alas, it was not enough. The team will now travel to Wylie East on Tuesday of next week, and will return home to play Sherman on Friday.
In the early game, the JV squad was able to use great ball control and timely goalkeeping to defeat the ‘Dawgs 2-1. They are now 4-0 in district and 10-4-1 on the year.
