Girls Junior Varsity Soccer, Girls Varsity Soccer · Girls Soccer at Allison Horn Memorial Tournament and Berkner JV Cup

Last week the Varsity competed in the Allison Horn Memorial Tournament in Colleyville. On Thursday, the Leopards tied Northwest High School 2-2. The first goal was scored by Reagan Matacale and assisted by Chloe Brown. The second goal was scored by Andee Richardson. The girls fought for the winning goal until the final whistle but couldn’t find the back of the net. On Friday, the Leopards beat Amarillo 2-1. Both goals were scored by Reagan Matacale with assists coming from Jessie Maashio and Hannah Dunlap. On Saturday, the Leopards beat Lake Dallas 2-1. The opening goal was scored by Hannah Dunlap with the assist coming from a cross by Tatum Chester. The winning goal was scored by Tatum Chester and assisted by Reagan Matacale from a cross.

The Varsity team is now 4-1-1 on the season heading into the Highway 5 Tournament in Anna and Melissa.

Last week the Junior Varsity girls team competed in the Richardson Berkner Tournament. On Thursday, in their first game of the season, the girls lost to McKinney 1-0 in a close game. On Friday, the Leopards beat Sachse 2-0. The first goal was scored by Gia George and assisted by Sawyer Greek. The second goal was scored by Sawyer Greek and Gia George. Molly Jenkins and Jasmine Gramajo, playing in goal, kept the clean sheet for the Leopards. Saturday afternoon, the Leopards beat W.T. White 2-0 with the team earning another clean sheet. Goals were scored by Sawyer Greek from a free kick and Amiya Callicutt direct from a corner kick.

With those results the JV team qualified for the 3rd place game against Richardson which they lost 4-0. Sawyer Greek and Amiya Callicutt were chosen by their coaches to be on the all-tournament team. The JV team is now 2-2 on the season heading into their next tournament in Greenville starting on Thursday.
