Boys Junior Varsity Soccer, Boys Varsity Soccer · Boys Soccer Start Strong in Georgetown Tournament

The Varsity team started their season last weekend at the Georgetown tournament going 2-0-1 over three games. In their first game, the Leopards played state runner-up Waller High School. The Leopards won 1-0 after a goal in the second half from Bretton Laboret with Caleb Toomey providing the assist. In the second game, the Leopards tied a strong Duncanville team 1-1. A fantastic bicycle kick goal was scored by Grant Lange and assisted by Caleb Toomey in the second half. In the final game, the Leopards won 2-1 vs. Abilene Cooper after scoring two early goals. Goals were scored by Benji Merrick and Bretton Laboret with assists from Laboret and Grant Lange. Thanks to everyone for coming to support the boys over the weekend. The Varsity play in their second tournament of the year in Allen this weekend. The Junior Varsity start their season this weekend, also in the Allen Tournament.
