Multiple Teams · Boys Set School Record

The Leopard Varsity Men’s Golf Team has set a new school record this year.  The guys have set a new scoring record each of the previous three seasons.   This year we expect to improve the tournament low scores several times.  The boys played Friday and Saturday, November 3rd and 4th, in the RHS Firewheel Fall Invitational.  We finished 4th place overall out of 11 teams competing.

Saturday the “Lovejoy Black” team set a new single day total low score of 316.  This combined with the 326 Friday, gave the Leopards a school record 2 day total, 642.  Individual scores were led by Jay Pabin, carding an 80-72/152.  Jay finished 4th place overall.    Will Fairchild followed with an 81-79/160, good for 9th overall.  Grayson Wehking shot 82-82/164.  Brian Wolfe shot 83-83/166, and Jonah Barton carded an 84-93/177.

The “Lovejoy Red” team shot a team total 339-352/781, for 9th place finish overall.  Leading the individual scoring was Lyndon Su with 82-87/169.  David Logan followed with 83-88/171.  Matt Welch turned in 89-85/174.  Jackson Snyder shot 85-92/177, and Aidan Weeks shot 91-92/183.

The guys all believe that we will continue to improve throughout the year.  We fully expect to set the record again this year.
