Tuesday night the Leopards won 2-1 in extra time to move onto the Region Semifinals. The Leopards found themselves down 1-0 before a two-hour lightning delay with 13 minutes left in the first half. After the lightning delay, and before halftime, the Leopards tied the game after a Benji Merrick header came to Cal Cranfill who scored a stunning bicycle kick from 20 yards out. The scored stayed 1-1 through regulation so extra time followed. In the first period of extra time, the Leopards scored the winner through Grant Lange after an assist from a corner kick by Cal Cranfill. The Leopards defense held on through the rest of extra time to move on to the region semifinals.
The Leopards will play Midlothian in the Region Semifinal at Standridge Stadium (1330 W. Valwood Pkwy. – Carrollton, Texas 75006) at 4 PM this Friday, April 7th. We would like to thank all the fans who came to the game last night to support the team! We also want to invite everyone to come support the boys, make a lot of noise, and wear black as they look to move on to the Region Finals!
