The 2016 Lady Leopard Basketball Camp, which kicked off on Monday, wrapped up today at Lovejoy High School. The morning session saw Kindergarten through 4th graders playing games, having fun, and learning about the Leopard Way to play. The day concluded with coaches giving out certificates of achievements and recognizing the tremendous job done by all the campers.
The campers were lucky to have three former players help with this week’s camp. Shani Rainey was a highly decorated basketball player at Lovejoy, with all four years spent on varsity. Shani currently plays for Rice University. Rachel Hise currently plays soccer for the University of Missouri, and Paige Eberhart, the leading three point shooter in recent years for Lovejoy. Paige currently plays for Oklahoma Wesleyan.

The afternoon was for incoming 5th graders through incoming 9th graders who were looking to refine their skills or get a glimpse of what Lovejoy Basketball is all about. The 9th graders will be a part of the high school program next year and we are looking forward to these young ladies making their mark on our program very quickly.
The coaches would also like to express a huge thank you to Service King Collision Centers for helping to sponsor the Lady Leopard Basketball Camp this year!
