Lovejoy Varsity Baseball Beats Royce City.
Lovejoy built a four-run lead in the fifth inning and then held off Royce City’s charge for a 6-5 victory on Tuesday to climb closer to a playoff spot. The Leopards took the lead for good with five runs in the fourth inning. In the fourth Nick Garcia, and Grant Doig, drove in a run each, and Jordan Yoder singled, driving in two runs. Mason Marsh earned the win for Lovejoy. He pitched five innings, giving up two runs, four hits, striking out eight, and walking one. Lovejoy collected nine hits. Jacob Eschler and Yoder each collected multiple hits for the Leopards.

The Leopards improved to 14-15 and 8-5 in district.
