Meet Recap

The Leopard Men’s Varsity “Black” Team traveled to Glen Rose to compete in the “Squaw Valley Classic” February 24th and 25th. It was a lot of fun having the guys for the weekend, even if they only wanted subway Friday night for supper. We received great compliments about the boys.
There were 15 teams competing this weekend. Honestly, when I saw the list of the teams I was hoping to finish as high as 7th place. We exceeded expectations. The guys were great. We finished 5th, 12 shots clear of 6th place. We set a couple new school records in the process. Low single day total, and lowest 2 day total.
Friday the weather was windy, 20+ mph, and cold. With that we were able to shoot a team total 332 on Friday. This had us tied for 5th place with 3 other teams. Saturday the weather was colder, but not as windy. We shot a new school record low single day round total of 322. This gave us a team total 654, another new school record for low 2 day total. Individual scores: Brian Wolfe 81-79/160, Grayson Wehking 83-83/166, Bumper Pool 89-77/166, Jonah Barton 85-83/168, and Ben Marples 83-86/169. Good job guys. Keep getting better. We will travel to Abilene, March 9-11.
