Betsy Zanders

Betsy  is a senior and has been playing soccer for nine years. Her main position is defense.

Her favorite soccer memory includes practicing or learning how to wink at Chili’s her junior year after one of our games in the Greenville Tournament. She most admires her teammate Natalie, not only because she’s one of her best friends, but because she is a great leader, hard worker, and a humble player.

Outside of soccer, Betsy is involved in choir and church youth group. She enjoys having game nights with friends and watching Netflix. Her favorite music would be Mumford and Sons or the Lumineers. Her favorite book is The Book Thief. And she has a love for the t.v. show Friends.

Around town, you might catch Betsy at Torchy’s Tacos. According to her, they have “quality Mexican cuisine at that restaurant.”

When it comes to superpowers, Betsy would like the ability to steal other people’s superpowers, that way she would have every super power in the world.

Right now, Betsy would like to go to Texas A&M or The University of Arkansas. She’s undecided about what she will study.

We’re thankful for Betsy and her four years in the Lovejoy Soccer Program. She has an ability to make everyone around her laugh and for that we are very grateful. We’re excited for what is in store for her in the future.
